A touch of chaos, part 1

Everyone's still upset about what happened at the cliff, and everyone's being really understanding at my emotions driving my abilities crazy and nearly killing them, but we had a bit of a distraction about a week ago when we tested out ragnarok's power properly. Until then he'd only really told us that he'd named it 'chaos touch' and refused to touch other people properly, claiming 'last time I shook someone's hand, all hell broke loose, and he was normal, not one of us weirdos' Cleone and Dragon, after studying him for a while, decided that he has some sort of energy manipulation, that acts differently to different things, and that it belonged to the reality warping family of powers, but had nothing like Jorge's power (The reality warper friend of Damian's from ages ago, remember? We really must see what he's up to...) and that Rag's was far harder to control.

We finally persuaded him to try it out in the safety of our now more-secret-than-ever base. He reached out and grabbed Pete's wrist with his left hand. Both of them were instantly enveloped in Pete's red energy, and streams of it shot from Pete's wrist deep into Ragnarok. Beams of the energy shot from Pete's hands, and he pulled his wrist away, gasping, and then rubbed it as the energy faded from him. 'Huh, I feel fine. It was buzzing like hell when we were touching, but now I'm fine...' he wiggled the fingers of his right hand, and red sparks danced along them, leaping from finger to finger. His eyes shone a bright red, wisps of energy rising from them. He turned his ability off and looked puzzled. 'Well, I'm still at full strength. It didn't have any lasting affect on me at all.'

'Well of course not. I'd warn you if it was going to hurt. my left hand tends to be fine.' said Ragnarok, and we looked to him. He had red spark dancing over his body, popping out from under his sleeves and shooting to the ends of his fingers, and dancing in his eyes. He shot a beam of it from his hands, and burnt a hole in the map I'd pinned up. 'Cool, I like this power' he grinned, and lauched another one. This beam kept going for a few feet, and then started to fizzle, sparking and fading. All the red left Ragnarok, and he looked at his hands. 'Aww, I ran out. Well there you go, there's one of the things I can do. I can absorb loads of sortas of energy and shoot it out again.'

He started swatting at a wasp that flew past, and went to wave it out of the door. 'I'll show you shomething else in a sec- oh damn. Wuh? This hasn't happened beforeeeeeeee....' He had hit the wasp with one of his swats, and started to bulge, and shake. His arms grew thinner, he rose into the air, and he started to change colour. As his shirt started to morph along with him, an extra set of set of arms shot out. Wings burst out of his back, and feelers were growing from his head. In a couple of seconds we were confronted by a wasp the size of a seventeen year old boy. It buzzed, confused and shot out of the door.

'This isn't going to help the whole 'let's hide out and keep ourselves a secret while the world deals with Claire revealing abilities the world' thing, is it?' Said Healthbar.

'Playwrite! Diffy!'

'We're on it Tempest!'
'Okey dokey!'

They rushed out after him, and as we prepared to follow them and the first screams could be heard from the street outside, Playwrite, mental commands flew through our heads (He made us immune, but we can hear when he does a widespread command) as he filled the minds of everyone around him with 'There is no wasp! Everything is normal! You cannot see a giant Wasp!' and Diffy was brainstorming as he left 'Big cloud? No, he moving too fast. Flock of birdies? More complicated, I might whoops one of them if I gets distracted. Plane? No, too low down....'

Don turned to me as we rushed for the door. 'What the hell do we do?

I honestly had no idea.

Obsessions fill the void.

Sorry, this post is mostly whinging about people whinging about me being in a bad mood, but developments happen, so I'm posting it.

My temper has had a much shorter fuse since..that day. If it wasn't for Don's extraordinary agility, he'd have ended up embedded in a wall because he asked if I knew what our friend had wanted Playwrite to do. Mentioning his name is not a good move with me at the moment. I said sorry later, and he understood, but still, why do I randomly give off lightning? I can't stop since I struck Roy. I don't know what he meant to achieve by getting himself thrown off a cliff, but emotion crazed abilities is what I got out of it. If Tingle hadn't sensed it coming, he'd have got one in the face for trying to talk to me about the book of pictures left for us, and He was the only one that went through the same thing I did, he manifested naturally, not long after me, and he was the one that was with me and my cousins when we beat HIM the first time, many years ago. I just can't imagine this life without him. We were like brothers, the first few years really brought us together, and it's so hard trying to move on.

Sorry, this makes me sound really pathetic. Just don't point that out to me, or you WILL get shocked. :)

Anyway, trying to move on. I've become obsessed with the toolbelt future me was wearing, my technopathy, and the fact that I currently don't HAVE a toolbelt. Seeing as a hobby is useful when you've had to go into hiding because of some idiot cheerleader chucking herself off a ferris wheel (You don't see Healthbar leaping off the London Eye, do you? That's because she's got some SENSE!), I have been inventing like mad since we holed ourselves up in our base.

'What are making?' asked Ragnarok, a friend of mine who manifested about three weeks before Claire doomed us all. Good timing, huh?

'Well, I suppose the easiest way of describing would be a sonic screwdriver that DOES work on wood.' I said, not looking up.

'WOW!' Like Doctor Whos? Why?'

'Wouldn't you make one if you thought you could?'

'Point taken.'

Cleone walked in, and said that the real Cleo wanted to talk to us. She closed her eyes as Cleo shifted her consciousness between bodies, and then opened her eyes again, looking sad.

'I just read your post! I'm so sorry guys, I wish there was something I could have done! The friends I've lost, I know how you feel, I know you were lot were upset when Shifter and Omni and everyone died, but Precog...This must be hitting you so hard....Yow! Tempest, I do not like the look of your Aura. You just spiked...Oi!'
She stopped the lightning bolt in mid air, and stared accusing at me, but was interrupted by Rag.
'Wait..you can see Auras? Like a lucario?'
'A what?'
I intervened. 'She's not a pokemon, Rag, just like Don is not a Hitmonchan, I am not a porygon, and Healthbar is not a Chansey.'
'I only said they were LIKE that...'
'Well they're not!'
Healthbar leaned over to Cleo. 'Sorry, he's been in a really bad way since it happened.'
I went off to the other side of the room, stuck a pin I'd been holding in the large map I'd put up, and headed for the stairs when-
'What is that? Why are you marking volcanoes? Oh no. Don't you dare....'
'I have to Cleo, it's our only chance. Dragon is making serious headway with Omni's cocoon thing-'
'But you can't! You forget I was there after you left. Listen to me grumpy, it's not a good idea to go back! Seriously!'
'What are you talking about?' asked Ragnarok, confused. (more on his power later, by the way, it's interesting.)
'The Cavern of Lost Souls.' I said, staring at the map of volcanoes I'd already checked. 'It's our only hope of rescuing him. We need him, and there is a place that the creators of abilities store the souls of those who have died. It was in a volcano. I intend to find out which one. And then I'm going back.'

A cliff no more.

So there we all were, on a jutting out piece of cliff at Dover, as Precog smiled at us all. 'This is Roy Cameron. One of your sensing machines put me on to him Tempest. He is known in villain circles as Slammer. He can manipulate air into solid walls, as a defense or a means of slamming or crushing something. He has been asked by HIM to attack a few sites in a couple of weeks that could end up with the complete destruction of the UK. That's what I came to stop.'

I tried to get off Centaur, but moving made my head buzz horribly. 'Why didn't you get us to go with you?'
'Because you have to keep going with our work. You have to survive.'
'What do you mean?' asked Doolittle.
'Don't you dare.' Playwrite was staring in horror at Precog. 'Why would you send me a thought like that? I...oh...but,no...'
Precog looked at him sadly. I've seen what's coming in America. I know what Claire bennet is going to do to the world. You know what must be done.'Playwrite nodded, and there were tears mixing with the rain running down his face.
'What! What needs to happen!' called Tingle. 'You've only got a 13% chance of getting off that edge alive!)
'Not even that my friend. Dragon, Tildy, Playwrite, know all know certain things about what is to come. Good luck everyone. I love you all. Goodbye.'
With that, he ran at Slammer. Slammer, who had been standing sneering at our conversation with annoyance and confusion, laughed. 'Finally! Some action!' Precog's eyes turned blinding white, and he chuckled as he ducked round a lance of air. Oh! SO close! Nearly! Ooh, too bad! Aww, what a shame! Can't touch me! Come and get me!'

As he started making chicken noises, We started towards him to help, but with his free hand slammer made a wall of solid air blocking us from them. Healthbar moved away from healing me (Over exertion of powers takes longer to heal than physical cuts and bruises) to launch a beam of golden sunlight, hardened into a burning beam, at the wall, but it just stopped short of Precog and Slammer and started pushing her backwards instead. Partly restored, I got off Centaur and staggered forwards, trying to help. Don had put on the strength ring, and was trying to punch through, and staring as his fists just sort of swam through the air slowly without breaking it at all.

Everyone tried all they could, but we were helpless. I wasn't thinking clearly, I didn't know what to do, and as I wiped dried blood from my face all I could do was send a stream of fire and ice at the wall, while trying to make the grass under Slammer trip him up. It worked, but he was back up on his feet swiping at Precog in no time.

Precog was now flapping his elbows like a chicken aswell, ducking and diving the swipe of air that flew at him. ' He got to the very edge of our jutting bit of cliff, and returned to english. 'Enough of this! I know what's coming, I've seen it. Your sister isn't here to help you, and she must be stopped. But to stop you, and make sure events move as they should, there is only one thing to do. I know how this ends, there is no point prolonging things.'

He turned to us, and his eyes returned to normal, looking at us one last time. 'Stop his sister. She's out there hiding, but in a few months, she'll be big trouble. And most of all, stop HIM. No matter what.'

He faced Slammer again. and saddly, knowingly, smiled at him. 'Ok, I'm ready. Seal your fate, Slammer.'

Slammer snarled, and swept a wall of air at him. It hit him squarely in the chest, and he let out a cry, spread his arms wide, called 'Remember me!...' and pitched over the cliff.

There were shrieks and cries from all around me, and I yelled with them. Time seemed to stand still. 'Why hadn't he let us help? Why had he made sure we got here so late that Slammer protected himself from us? Anger filled me, I rose into the air with a huge gust of wind, and all I could think of was making Slammer pay. With his life. I grabbed my staff from where it had fallen in the grass, and Roared. The clouds above us filled with a rumbling thunder, and Slammer stared round at me, cocky behind his wall of air. 'Go and grieve your friend somewhere else! I can block everything you have to offer boy!'
'BLOCK THIS!!!'

A huge bolt of lightning crashed down on him from above. He had almost half a second to solidify the air above him, but not enough to stop it. It blasted a crater around him, lying twitching in the bottom. He was blackened, smoking and most of his left arm had been vapourized. Amazingly, he'd stopped it killing him, with some sort of chamber of air round his chest, that left most of his organs intact. He screamed, and struggled to sit up, as I turned away from him and went to the cliff face. I looker over. There was no sign of Precog. At all. The waves had claimed him, and there was no trace he'd even been there. I floated back past Slammer without looking at him, and as I landed infront of the others and started back down the cliff, I slowly clenched my right hand into a fist, shaking with rage. I heard the cliff crumbling behind me, and the little protuberance we'd been on falling into the sea. There was a strangled cry as Slammer was dragged down into the waves by the landslide of rocks around him, crushing him to pieces on the way down. There was no evidence any of us had ever been there, and Precog had been avenged. In my head I pictured the pile of rubble at the base of the cliff, and mentally crushed it to dust. Then I blacked out. I woke up a couple of hours later, at the base. I was told Dragon had got us home. I went downstairs, and found the machine signaling Slammers power. The one that had sent Precog there in the first place. I got Precog's cricket bat from under the counter, and broke the machine into pieces, which I then sucked into a miniature black hole with gravitational manipulation.

Since then, Thanks to a letter Precog left us (I'll explain later) We've been preparing for going into hiding because of Claire and her stunt with the ferris wheel. We've helped hide a friend of mine, Ragnarok, too, because he manifested recently. More on him later. Writing this has brought it all back, so I have to take a break, sorry. Everything's been as Cleo said, her Clone came and stayed with us, we call her Cleone, because we know she's a clone, she admits as much, and the real Cleo pops in every now and again. Bye for now!

That terrible day

Alright, I can't delay any longer, it's time I told you the big thing that happened in the gap when I wasn't blogging.

We woke up one mid January morning to find Precog gone again. His bike was missing too, we hardly ever ride our bikes these days, but of course he didn't have the forcefield express this time.
Hana alerted me to his new voice mail message, having tried to call him:

'Hi this is Precog, and if you're calling me, you're probably wondering where I am. Do not try to find me, I'm following a drawing telling me about a new powered-up git that works for one of our foes, I think he works for HIM. Me following him is the key to his death, which stops him destroying most of England in a couple of weeks. Don't worry, I'll be fine, Do not follow me.'

I could hear his voice starting to quiver just as the beep came in, signaling for me to leave a message. I hung up and asked Tildy to track him.

'His bike's at the train station, and heeeeeeeeeeeeeeee's........hang on, Dover. He's at Dover. He's about to head up to the top of the cliff. He's running. and there's definitely someone going after him. We need to hurry.'

'All aboard the forcefield express! Now!'

I grabbed my cloak and ran to the door. We gathered in the doorway and were about to fly off when Doolittle grabbed a sheet of paper pinned to the door.
'Hang on, this says that we don't leave until it starts raining. No matter how much of a hurry we're in, we can't go against a vision he's actually had.'

I swept a hand impatiently at the sky as I created our forcefield with the other. Grey clouds filled the air and a dark torrent of water began to fall. 'Happy now?'

We all shot off into the sky, and soared towards Dover. I rushed us there as fast as I could, a splitting headache growing steadily as the country blurred around us. Tildy was holding my arm to help my forcefield tune into her vision of Precog. Everyone prepared themselves as we shot faster than a bullet. I felt a nosebleed coming as we reached the coast, and I had to sharply slow us down in order to prevent us ending up over the channel. I'd made the trip from Cambridge to Dover in just under 3 minutes. Slowly we made it almost to the top, when I finally gave out and collapsed. The forcefield faded, and we fell the ground. (Fortunately we were only a foot or so high up at this point. I struggled onto my hands and knees, and felt Playwrite and Don help me onto Centaurs back. ('Pleasure to be of service! Donkey-boy to the rescue!')

With me slumped over his back, our group made it's way up the rest of the slope. Precog slowly came into sight, and a sinister looking dark haired man.

'Precog!!!'

He turned round and looked at us all and smiled. 'I knew you'd come....I wanted you to be here, but I needed to slow him down. I love you all. But this is..the End.'

Christmas at VHS, part 2

Ok, once I've finished this, I can get on with catching you up with everything that's happened more recently, precog, and well, I'll get to that later.....

Cleo popped round later in the afternoon, and after finding out she knew all about our trip to find immunity girl, we knew she had to be the clone that had flown off during Cleo's lack of control over her abilities. We called the real one, and she agreed to pop round at once (she was planning to anyway). Playwrite explained while we waited that our Cleo hadn't been detectable as a clone when she joined us on our excursion because she had exactly the same mind as the real Cleo. Due to her creation being an accident, and not a conscious action, there was nothing about this Cleo that gave a hint that she was a clone, and she was in fact convinced she WAS the real Cleo.

Cleo arrived, (The real one) and merged with the clone, and sat down quickly in a chair as she shook her head, rubbing it slowly. This only lasted a couple of seconds, and then she looked up, smiling.
'Sorry, merging two sets of memories is always a bit weird. Merry Christmas!'

We wished her a Merry Christmas and gave her her presents.

As she finished, Diffy moaned. We looked over at him to see him stagger, stumble around in a circle, and collapse on the floor saying 'oooooooooooooh, me heads all woozy, I fink somfing might be wrong..........'

Tildy stood up, looking concerned. 'Incoming spirits! Some kind of psychic transmission is taking over Diffy!

She grabbed Diffy's hand, and her eyes glowed.

'I'm picking up...no hang on..that's really odd...The energy that's being sent back, it's like a message, or a shadow of real people, but, oh, no way.....'

Diffy raised a small, yellow paw, and a rainbow of swirling colours flowed from it, forming a shimmering portal-like window in the air, like a horizontal elipse, or a circle that's been sat on. Blurry shapes appeared inside it, and as Diffy opened his eyes and stared up at it, a blond teenage boy in a white T-shirt and wearing a red baseball cap came into focus, staring intently at us. He grinned, and called over his shoulder 'Hey, it worked! You're a genius!
A woman in her late twenties appeared, rubbing her head and smiling wearily. She looked vaguely familiar, kind of like my Aunt, but not quite. More like-
'Good! We don't have long, you'd better get on with it and tell them. Do you have any idea how hard it is to convert an illusion into a pyschic energy ghost, send it 7 years back in time to a past version of you, WHILE bypassing the time-travel block that prevents us from just doing it ourselves, and linking it to the current timeline in order to create a window between now and our past selves? It took me 7 years just to work out how to do it!'
'I have know idea, but then again I didn't understand half of that. Get the others, will you?'
'Get the others, Tildy, send a portal back seven years, Tildy. Fine, fine...'

Tildy's older self walked out of view and returned with a bunch of people in there mid-twenties. We gawped at themen and women in front of us, at a loss for words.
Doolittles ponytail was longer, her light brown hair had darkened, and there was a snake coiled round her left arm. Playwrite was still the tallest of all of us, but he looked as bright and bouncy as he did now, and there was a poster on the wall behind him for a play he was starring in. Healthbar's brown hair was now pure white, except for a silvery grey strand by her left ear, casting a shadow across part of her face. Tingle was wearing a suit, and had a briefcase in his hand. Don was in full Karate gear, and there was a small object that looked like a cross between a taser and a super soaker tucked into his belt next to a pair of nunchuks. Pete had little pulses of red energy running around his veins, causing little streaks of red to dart around his body under his skin. Being a couple of years younger than us, he resembled his past self the most, but taller, and he seemed to have forgotten to shave that morning, with a thin spread of stubble on his chin. I still had my cloak, now a bit more worn, and a futuristic looking belt, with one of the taser/soaker gun things strapped to it, along with an array of small gadgets and machines. I also had a small device clipped to my ear, Some sort of wristband with a small screen on it, and a metal band round my staff, which now had carvings all along it.

Our older selves smiled back at us, but I noticed something odd. 'Where's Precog?'
Older me looked awkward. 'He's..not with us at the moment.'
'Oh..ok. What is all this?'
'We needed a way of telling you something important, but it's about an event in the future, our past, that has been blocked from time travel. Tildy can only just send this past it, we tried to get as close as possible, I think we're a few months out. We need to warn you, that HE is returning. Tempest, Precog, Tildy, you know who I mean. And with him comes the destruction of everything. There will come a time when 'The Eye' asks you to do something so drastic, You'll think he's betraying you, and out to kill you after all. You will think that all is lost, and that HE has won. DO AS 'THE EYE' SAYS. It may seem stupid, and horrific, and you may think that the last chance of defeating HIM is lost if you do it, but you must, or HE really will win. Do you understand?'

'Um, yeah, I think so. Do what 'The Eye' says, even if it seems stupid.'
'Exactly, no matter what, do as he asks. H eknows more than you can imagine.'

The window was starting to flicker and distort, and Future Tildy, was wincing.

'We've got to go I think, the window's fading' said Future Healthbar, looking concerned.

'Wait! I never gots to ask' called Diffy, looking at the teenage boy. 'Yous me, right?'

'Yup.' The teenager grinned.'

'How come yous like that? I'm like that? What happened to our Diffyness?'

'Everyone grows up sometime kid. Not that I'm grown up-'

'You couldn't be mature if you tried...'

'Sssh Tingle! We decide to re-enter the world of human beings eventually, though as you can see- (He gestured at Diffy's white shell, and red hat, and then at his own cap and T-shirt) we stick with the colour scheme. It works for us. I'm still Diffy, I just look like I should. Keep working the little egg guy look for a while though, it's who we are.'

'There was only time for future Doolittle to sigh, 'God I wish we were that age again, Future Playwrite to wave, and Future Don to call to his past self: 'Next time you see Leech, get him from behind!' and the portal window thing dispersed into clouds of coloured vapour, and then nothing. Cleo looked round at all of us. 'Well' she said, gripping the new DVD Healthbar had given her tighter 'That was interesting. How did someone block off a bit of time from time travellers? I'm going to look into that.'

There. Only one major event to catch you up on before you're up to date with us. I'm sorry, I won't enjoy writing it, but I have to tell you sometime. See you soon!

Christmas at VHS

Sorry it's been a while since the last post, there's been a lot happening, including losing one of our number, and well, I'll get to that eventually. I want to tell you all about our Christmas, so first I should sum up what happened after Linda and Don had their fight (The others will continue their tales later too).

We looked up from lying on the floor to see the air above us empty of spirits, Don and Linda both having vanished. I could hear Doolittle coughing, and Diffy calling Linda a string of rude names. (Rude for him, the worst he managed to say was bad witch ( I'm sure you can work out what he meant, just take out the ad w, but he's never managed to say the really rude words, he just can't.)
Anyway, I could see that John had run off, and a qucik headcount showed that Precog was the one who had left during the fight.

I felt an arm round my shoulders as I struggled up from under the table that had fallen on me in the confusion, and a warm glow healed the bruises and grazes I'd sustained, and grinned and Healthbar as she helped me up. 'Thanks'
'Meh, I do what I can. I tend to get up again pretty quickly if I have some light.'
She winked at me and went to help the others. I FFed objects out of the way, and summoned a breeze to blow of most of the dust covering us, and was just filling a crack in the wall with rock when I heard a groan to my right. I turned to see Don's head raise slightly. I let out a cry of surprise and rushed over to him. Healthbar and the others were right behind me.
'Urrrrrrrrrrrrrgh..................ow..my head.....is Linda gone?'
He looked at all of us and sat up groggily as Healthbar enveloped him in her healing light.
'Don, what happened?'
'I charged Linda to stop her killing all of you, and she tried to take my Aura to kill me and take my 'power''
'And?'
'I let her. I was latched firmly to Tildy and Healthbar at the time, so she was having to fight them too. She found far more resistance than she expected, then I slammed into her, weakening her more, and the only part of me that came easily was the formula. She sucked right out my body and I stayed where I was. It made her kind of explode, and then all there was was intense pain as I woke up in my body again. The whole thing took about a second though.'
'....Wow'
'That was smart!'
'Well done!'
'Hurray for beating miss stinkypants!'
'So is she actually dead?' I asked after congratulating and thanking him.
'....No' said Playwrite, Tingle, Tildy, Dragon and Healthbar together.
'She's...worse than ever, but slipping back into her own timestream, trying to fix it again.' said Tildy.
'I fear she may use the addition of that tainted formula to her DNA to her advantage' said Dragon seriously.

There, that's roughly what was said. Now christmas.

Precog came back about a week before christmas, very cheerful, and calmer than he had been for weeks, as if he'd found peace with himself at last.

2 days to christmas, the gang is decorating the base. We'd all agreed to meet up in the afternoon of christmas day. We were all hanging up decorations, and I'd grown a tree that morning, which was now standing proudly in the corner of the room, and Dragon was just helping me string up some tinsel when Diffy wandered over to us, looking troubled.

'Dwaaaaaaaaaaaagon, can you help me wiv sumfing? Cecil say that Santa doesn't exist, and he's hundreds older than me so he knows, but you older than him, and smarter and powerfuler and evryfing, so you really knows that he does exist, please?'

Dragon smiled, and looked down over his shoulder at Diffy as I pinned the bit of tinsel he was holding. 'Santa exists, of course he does. I couldn't tell you who he is at the moment, but he exists.'

'Huh?'

'Well, Santa is a title, like Dragon. Once a replacement with fitting or suitable abilities come along, they are made the new santa, and do the job for a while. The details and stories are blurred and exaggerated into the popular image we know today, but it's really a lot simpler than that. As I say, I cannot tell you who he is, at the moment, but I hope you'll be satisfied with the knowledge that you have met A santa.'

Diffy stared, and understanding started to shine in his eyes 'You mean.....'

Dragon patted his stomach and smiled again. 'I've lost a lot of weight since then....'

There was a thud. I turned to see Diffy had fallen to the floor, and was sitting staring up at Dragon. Then he scrambled to his feet and ran of screaming 'Cecil! Cecil!!!!!! I WAS RIGHT!!!
I win!!!!!'

I got off the chair I'd been standing on, the tinsel firmly attached to the ceiling, and Dragon and I went to get some tree decorations. 'So is all of that true?'
He winked. 'I couldn't possibly tell you, dear friend, Santa Oath of Secrecy you know.'
He winked again and I started laughing.

Healthbar came to join us hang stuff on the tree, but halfway through we could hear a rumble in the distance, getting closer all the time.

'What do you think' I asked, as we looked to the door expectantly 'Earthquake?'
'Wild bulls?' guessed Healthbar'
'"It sounds like a bulldozer merged with an ice cream truck' yelled Don as the noise increased, and came close enough to be recognisable.
'Hang on' I was straining to hear the notes clearly amongst the sheer roar of volume, sure I couldn't be right 'It sounds more like....Slade.....'

A teenage boy swept into the base, singing at the top of his lungs and accompanied by a deafening wave of song.

'Does your granny always tell ya, that the old songs are the best, then she's up and rock and rolling with the reeeeeest:

SO HERE IT IS, MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYBODY'S HAVING FUN. LOOK TO THE FUTURE NOW IT'S ONLY JUST BEGUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNN-'

'Broadcast!!!!!!!' We yelled, half angry, half happy.

Doolittle poked him and he swung round to face her, the music emanating from him fading to background volume. 'Hi everybody! Too loud?'

'Just a tad' said Precog, wiggling his ear to try and get the ringing out of his ears.

I'll post this for now, and tell you about the eventful evening next.......
