Sandy

Hello, me again. Today I'll tell you what happened with Sandy, and a bit about my renovations of SOLAR's new base.
First Sandy. We met him in the field Ragnarok had indicated. He jumped and squealed when he turned and saw me and Pete nearly upon him in the setting sunlight, but received and was happy to see us once we introduced ourselves. He refused to shake hands, and I noticed something strange.
'I thought Ragnarok gave you gloves?'
'He did, but then I couldn't hold it in and I.....activated'
'And you...of course, we talked about that in the emails. Well, we can get rid of it for you if you like......'
'No!'
Pete had reached for his arm, but he recoiled before Pete grabbed him. 'Please, don't! I'm sorry, this was a bad idea. I should go.'
We convinced him to stay, and took him to Playwrite, who gave him a mental block to stop his power working until we can help properly. He's staying in a safe house at the moment.

I'll let Rag describe his base properly, but I fixed the place up, so I want to talk about it. Fresh coat of paint on the walls, (not that I really 'painted' in the conventional sense :P) fix some of the more broken bits of furniture, and of course, technology. Aside from the more mundane highly advanced equipment that Rag might tell you about, there were some defences I'm quite proud of.
'Each of you place your hand on here in turn' I instructed, indicating a screen outside by the door, hidden in a secret panel. 'I'm putting you in the system.'
'Wow, VHS's base didn't have this kind of security' said Ragnarok, having his hand scanned.'
'When we weren't being hunted by the world as freaks and hardly anyone knew about us? No, it did not. Have you tried getting in recently?'
'No........'
'Well don't, not everyone's in the system yet.'
'Uh, Tempest? I thought you said you were programming us in?'
'Skyblade, yeah? Yes I am.'
'But you're just standing there.'
'And that means I'm not programming?'
'Oh, ok. Wow.'
We went inside, to the room with large models of the planets hanging from the ceiling, as I chucked something at Ragnarok. 'Oh yeah, this is for you'
'Huh?'
'I promised you something to help control your power. Wear that, and your power's nulled. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Won't help hone your power when you use it, but it will stop involuntary reactions.'
'Oh, cool, thanks.'
'Take this too, for emergencies. It won't get blocked because they're separate objects. That'll give you the ability to breath out chlorine. Not enough to kill anyone, and it'll sting like hell, so only use in dire situations, but should floor anyone that's about to get you.'
'Woah, thanks.'
'Right, now this is important: Do not touch Mars, Saturn or Pluto. And don't touch this large, invitingly red button. I can activate the planets remotely, but this button only responds to chaos touch, and I gave it a check loop on a separate feedback matrix, so it can't be Technopathed.'

That's about it, more later.
